Increases the number and drop rate of afflicted materials obtained from breaking monster parts. Optionally boosts anomaly experience rewards.
What's up, hunters! If you're like me, you use multiple weapons for every element and realized you'd have to hunt the same monsters at least 10 to 30 times in Anomaly Investigations or Quests just to unlock the same upgrades across all of them. What if you could cut that down by 3x, 5x, or even 10x without skipping the fights entirely? Well, this mod is here to (sort of) help with that!
New You now can increase each monster's investigation reward by 2x, 4x, or 8x!
About the Enigma DRM Update and Fluffy Mod Manager (Feb 01, 2024)While DRM has changed, the way we mod things has not.
However, Fluffy Mod Manager—the goat that it is—is the part that broke this time. Until that awesome dude pushes an update, we'll have to rely on the pak file version. As always, pick exactly which ones you want to use and rename the pak filename.
UPDATE - Fluffy Mod Manager has been updated and should now be working again! What this mod does:- Your choice of drop chance: 40% (Default) or 60%
- Your choice of increasing reward by: 3x, 5x, 10x
- Works in both Anomaly Quests and Investigations!
- This includes carves! (But only if you broke something)
- (Optional) Double Anomaly XP Reward
What this mod does NOT do:- Modify drop/reward tables – Too tedious to process, and may break with new event quests.
- Affect any other drops - The table modified only pertains to anomaly break rewards!
- Guaranteed drops Everything is still up to chance! (Worst example: Arzuros only has 1 part/chance roll!)
- Break your saves with invalid quests.
How to Install- Get Fluffy Manager 5000
- Drop the RAR file into "Fluffy Manager 5000\Games\MHRISE\Mods\"
- Enable only one of the options!
- (Optional) Pair this with Drop Rates Enhanced! (Normal rewards only)
- (PAK Version) Just rename the file inside the zip! (Example: "re_chunk_000.pak.patch_002.pak" if no other pak mods)
Did MHR update?
If you are using Fluffy Manager 5000, you'll need to uninstall all mods, repack the game's archives, and reinstall them. Major updates (like Title Update 2) may require me to update the file to Capcom's latest version, so please be patient while I catch up.
Why only mod items obtained from breaking parts? (And why no Amber Essence?)Since the other tables are too troublesome and might break with every new event quest. I won't rule it out, though.
How it works - TU2 changed some things
As of TU2, Capcom has generally increased the amount of afflicted materials you can earn as quest rewards based on your level. You now receive one designated reward slot, and depending on your level, it can grant anywhere from 1 to 9 afflicted items. Carves and breaks still give 1 item per break, but the drop rate has increased from 20% to 40%. So at best, a Rathalos with all parts broken can yield 5 to 15 afflicted items at level 111 and above. Overall, it’s a pretty good change! Still not enough for my three weapon types with every element and my assortment of bowguns.
This mod
increases that chance to 60% and Rewards you 3x, 5x, or 10x the amount you'd normally get from breaks and carves.
**Important:** The reward you receive depends on the quest's level! Check each quest description for its rewards. The afflicted item shown there is what will be enhanced by this mod!
XP Bonus Multipliers - TU3 Changed Some Things
As of TU3, Capcom has increased the experience gained during the steady progression phase, but it's still nowhere near a 2x boost. It's enough to skip a few fights, but nothing major. Previously, we could get up to 360 per quest (at Lv101?), now it's 440. What they did NOT change is the bonus experience from additional monsters in the field. These changes only apply to quests.
This mod flavor doubles both quest reward XP and bonus monster rewards. For example, 220 becomes 440. At 4x, it becomes 880, and at 8x, 1760.
**Personal Warning:** Not that anything in here will get you banned, but jumping straight to 8x XP will shorten the game so much that you probably won't get much enjoyment out of it in the long run. Sure, it's grindy as hell, but what makes MH games fun is the time you spend getting better at the game. Use at your own discretion!
Special thanks go out to the modding community for all their work so far! Holy crap, you guys are legends!
